Same weird family. New weird problems. The new trailer for “The Umbrella Academy” Season 2 is here at last, and it looks fire!!!

The highly anticipated second season of the popular Netflix show, adapted from the Dark Horse comic book series created and written by Gerard Way (from the band My Chemical Romance), finally hit the internet with a 3 minute preview.

Netflix also release a plot synopsis for Season 2:

Five warned his family (so, so many times) that using his powers to escape from Vanya’s 2019 apocalypse was risky. Well, he was right – the time jump scatters the siblings in time in and around Dallas, Texas. Over a three year period. Starting in 1960. Some, having been stuck in the past for years, have built lives and moved on, certain they’re the only ones who survived. Five is the last to land, smack dab in the middle of a nuclear doomsday, which – spoiler alert! – turns out is a result of the group’s disruption of the timeline (déjà vu, anyone?).

“Now the Umbrella Academy must find a way to reunite, figure out what caused doomsday, put a stop to it, and return to the present timeline to stop that other apocalypse. All while being hunted by a trio of ruthless Swedish assassins. But seriously, no pressure or anything.”

Introducing: Azad Music

Azad Watches of NYC, the former lead sponsor of the the Brooklyn Barclays Center, has now expanded to become the next big thing in Hip Hop: Azad Music. Located in the heart of New York City’s Diamond District, Azad has built a luxurious studio for it’s new creative team including Soope, Joell Ortiz, Fred the Godson and legendary artist AZ. Together with the return of AZ, Azad Music is set to take over in 2019.

Soope, a midwest native known for his lyrical ingenuity, vowed that in the new year he would be releasing  new music every month, accompanied by videos that will showcase the team’s creativity.

Azad Music’s first collaborative release is entitled “Ain’t No Sunshine”, which features Soope, Joell Ortiz and Fred the Godson. The song is just a preview of the greatness to come, with visuals that resemble a polished web series.

Ending the summer with a bang, check out the new video from Childish Gambino “Feels Like Summer” below. The animated visual, which he co-directed along with Ivan Dixon and Greg Sharp, is the latest single from his recent released “Summer Pack”, and the follow-up to his controversial “This Is America” video, which debuted at #1 on the charts and pretty much broke the internet upon its release.

“Feels Like Summer” features numerous animated cameos from some of music and pop culture’s  biggest stars including Drake, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Michelle Obama, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, J. Cole, Migos,  Chance the Rapper,  The Weeknd, and many more. One scene in particular, where Michelle Obama comforts a crying Kanye, ‘Make America Great Again’ cap and all, had social media going crazy with speculation on the meaning of the clip.

The Doughboy Project aka DJ Doughboy has been a staple in the New Jersey music scene for many years. As a producer, he alongside his team The OG’s have been considered by many to be among the pioneers of the popular Jersey Club music movement. He’s toured the world with Joe Budden, and has lended his talents to a variety of artists over the years including Queen Latifah, Naughty By Nature, Maino, Vado, DJ Self, MariahLynn, Rick Ross, and Fabolous, among others.

His debut EP, the critically acclaimed “Introduction”, was featured in the ‘Huffington Post’ and gained the New Artist Spotlight on Tidal. Watch the controversial new video from Childish Gambino “This Is America” on GoodFellaz TV. The new video, which pretty much broke the internet upon its release, is the first single for Childish Gambino as-of-yet untitled new album, and currently the #1 song in the country after knocking Drake’s “Sorry For What” out of the top spot.

Debuting at #1 on both the Billboard’s Hot 100 and Streaming Songs charts, the video has already racked up over 155,475,000 views on YouTube, and generated an impressive 65.5 million streams in its first week. The impact of the powerful visuals, which alternate between surreal images of spirited dancing and graphic gun violence, was directed by Hiro Murai, who also directs Donald Glover’s (aka Childish Gambino) popular TV series “Atlanta” as well.

Produced by Murda Beatz and featuring a sample of Lauren Hill’s classic “Ex Factor“, the new record is the next single from Drake’s as-of-yet untitled upcoming album, and is the follow-up to the #1 single “God’s Plan”, which has been dominating the Billboard Charts for the last 2 months.
