It looks like yet another Hip Hop legend has joined Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music crew! This time it is Hip Hop pioneer Q-Tip from the legendary group A Tribe Called Quest, who ironically was a musical inspiration for Yeezy. Q-Tip has reportedly signed with Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint on Def Jam Records, and had this to say about the new venture:
“I’m excited to be a part of the great iconic Def Jam label. I’m humbled to be a part of such a storied history. To reconnect with Barry Weiss is a great thing. As far as G.O.O.D. Music, I’m excited to solidify my working relationship with Kanye, and I look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead in our partnership. I will do my best to present the most cutting edge music I can.”
Kanye & G.O.O.D. Music are set to drop a compilation album this summer, and have already released 2 tracks “Theraflu” & “Mercy” off the upcoming project. Hopefully we get to hear Q-Tip on the New Album now that he is signed. Stay tuned to GoodFellaz TV for the latest updates on this new venture.
