Move over Kendrick Lamar, there’s a new ‘Top Dog’ in TDE: Schoolboy Q.

That’s right, Top Dawg Entertainment’s own Schoolboy Q took the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 Charts with his newest album “Oxymoron”, selling 138,517 copies in it’s first week. Ironically this is a feat that even fellow label-mate Kendrick Lamar was unable to accomplish; his “good kid, mAAd city” LP ended up at #2 on the charts last year behind Taylor Swift’s “RED” Album.

Apparently Q lived up to his verse on Oxymoron’s ”Break The Bank”, where he spit:

….tell Kendrick move from the throne I came for it.”

In other movement on the charts, Kid Cudi also debuted on the Billboard Top 5 Charts at #4, selling 85,860 copies of his surprise “Satellite Flight: Journey To Mother Moon” album, which he dropped with no previous promotion a la Beyonce.

So on behalf of the good folks at GoodFellaz TV, congratulation to Schoolboy Q on the success of his latest album “Oxymoron”, IN STORES NOW on TDE/Interscope Records! #Salute.
