Mala Reignz- “Sermon”
Introducing: Mala Reignz
Award-winning Hip-Hop artist and entrepreneur, Bronx native Mala Reignz is one of the latest phonemes to grace the industry. Declared “Unsigned Hype” by The Source Magazine, and “Flava of the Month” by Straight Stuntin’ Magazine, Mala has burst onto the mainstream Hip-Hop scene and people are taking notice. Her rhyme skills have led her to perform among the industry’s best at the 2010 Latin Mixx Awards as well as Digiwaxx’s “All Female Cypher” hosted by the legendary MC Lyte. Not to mention, Mala knocked-off some of the fiercest competition in the Bronx – all genres, and was chosen to represent the BX at the 2011 “Battle of the Boroughs” competition presented by Summerstage NYC.
Mala Reignz first turned heads with the release of her debut EP “The Calm Before the Storm” in 2010, which garnered rave reviews and critical acclaim amongst industry. The beautiful-but-deadly emcee has also been featured on New York’s Hot 97.1 FM, Power 105.1 FM, as well as MTV’s “Rap Fix”, hosted by Sway.
In her spare time, Ms. Reignz focuses on building her brand by running her music company, Scholar MusicVMG with her partner-n-rhyme J30, and has recently launched her mega-popular Bad Girl clothing and accessories line. A play on her own name, Mala explains,
“A ‘bad girl’ is a woman who holds it down at home and in her career. She is a power force and trendsetter ready to kick down barriers still facing women today.”
A leader, fighter and role model, Mala is determined to change Hip-Hop’s view of female rappers and let the world know that Bad Girls Rule.
Recently the beautiful Mala Reignz and her Scholar MusicVMG partner J30 were invited to be a part of the GoodFellaz TV 2015 Photo-shoot. Check out some of the dope pics from the shoot below.
