I’m not gonna lie, I enjoyed this more than I expected. Yes, there are issues with the story- pacing, character setups and the villain was AWFUL. But I’m starting to expect studio issues when these movies are under 2 hours long. That screams filler-movie to me, and the trend is pretty consistent.

That being said, there is some heart in this movie. Anthony Mackie sells Captain America. He plays him really well and is believable in his action scenes. He carried this thin script very well. Ramirez, who plays Falcon was solid; I liked the banter between him and Mackie. Their actions scenes were actually really good, especially that scene over the ocean. Very “Top Gun”-esque. The Red Hulk story was meh, but the scene was cool. Harrison Ford was…old, lol. I don’t know, it was kind of hard seeing him in this film. Maybe it’s just me?? Isaiah Bradley, the Widow and the rest of the supporting cast did their things too. Overall I give “Captain America: Brave New World” a Rating of:

The action and the cast elevated a very thin and mediocre script. I also hated the villain, it was lazy. That being said, it was a solid movie worth checking out in the theaters for the fight scenes.

Same weird family. New weird problems. The new trailer for “The Umbrella Academy” Season 2 is here at last, and it looks fire!!!

The highly anticipated second season of the popular Netflix show, adapted from the Dark Horse comic book series created and written by Gerard Way (from the band My Chemical Romance), finally hit the internet with a 3 minute preview.

Netflix also release a plot synopsis for Season 2:

Five warned his family (so, so many times) that using his powers to escape from Vanya’s 2019 apocalypse was risky. Well, he was right – the time jump scatters the siblings in time in and around Dallas, Texas. Over a three year period. Starting in 1960. Some, having been stuck in the past for years, have built lives and moved on, certain they’re the only ones who survived. Five is the last to land, smack dab in the middle of a nuclear doomsday, which – spoiler alert! – turns out is a result of the group’s disruption of the timeline (déjà vu, anyone?).

“Now the Umbrella Academy must find a way to reunite, figure out what caused doomsday, put a stop to it, and return to the present timeline to stop that other apocalypse. All while being hunted by a trio of ruthless Swedish assassins. But seriously, no pressure or anything.”

Recently FOX hosted an advance screening of the new sitcom “REL” in Harlem, NY, where stars Lil Rel Howery (aka the T.S.A. dude from the movie “Get Out”) and Jessica “Jess Hilarious” Moore were on hand to greet the hundreds of guests that arrived at AMC Magic Johnson Theater to preview the highly-anticipated show. And of course the GoodFellaz were in the building to check it out!

Podcaster and social media influencer Kid Fury served as the event host and moderated a hilarious Q&A with Rel and Jess after the screening. Also in attendance was “REL” co-creator and executive producer Jerrod Carmichael, actress Tiffany Haddish, “The Bobby Brown Story” star Woody McClain, Roc Nation exec Lenny Santiago, “Power” actress Shannon Thornton, BET’s “Grand Hustle” star Krystal Garner, and recording artist Azia.

And we have to say, “Rel” is very funny! The vibe of the show reminded us of classic comedies including “Martin”, “The Wayans Brothers” and even “Seinfeld”. Without spoiling the episode, we can say that Lil Rel was especially  hilarious when he played a different character midway through the show a la Martin Lawrence. And Sinbad, who plays Rel’s father in the show, was a scene stealer as well, providing some of the funniest lines of the episode. The GoodFellaz definitely recommend this show to all comedy fans!

A special preview of “Rel” premieres Sunday, September 9 at 8/7c (after NFL on FOX). The regular season premieres Sunday, September 30 at 9:30pm on FOX. Shoutout to the One35 Agency and FOX for the invite!

The new trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is here at last!!!

After months of anticipation, Disney & Lucasfilm finally unveiled the new trailer for Episode 8 of the mega-popular film franchise, and yes it looks dope!

The trailer shows off several impressive action sequences, and follows the adventures of main characters Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega), alongside an older Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) reprises his role as the main villain, and the film also features the final appearance of iconic Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher (aka Princess Leia), who died in December 2016.

“The Last Jedi” was directed by Rian Johnson, and continues the plot from 2015’s “Episode VII: The Force Awakens” from JJ Abrams. The new flick will see the return of Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels and Gwendoline Christie, alongside newcomers Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern and Benicio Del Toro. Also we get introduced to a new species of creatures in the Star Wars universe: Porgs.

The final “Justice League” movie trailer is here at last!

Fresh from New York Comic-Con 2017, Warner Brothers & DC Films finally released the latest trailer for their highly anticipated superhero team-up flick, complete with an appearance by Superman (via a dream sequence).

Directed by Zack Snyder (“300”,  “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”), with additional work by Joss Whedon (“The Avengers”), “Justice League” unites the biggest heros in the DC Films universe including Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, and (most likely) Superman, who team-up to fight an alien invasion by the minions of super-villain Darkseid.

Things are about to get even stranger this October when the second season of “Stranger Things” finally arrives.

The new trailer recently debuted at San Diego ComicCon, once again took us back to the 1980’s, complete with “Ghostbuster” costumes and a Vincent Price voice-over from Michael Jackson’s mega-hit “Thriller”. The new trailer features most of the cast from the first season, including the return of fan-favorite Eleven, and shows us that the ‘Upside Down’ is still very much present in the town of Hawkins, Indiana.

It’s here at last!

Check out the highly anticipated second trailer for the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” movie below on GoodFellaz TV.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. The second trailer for the highly anticipated “Justice League” movie is officially here.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the latest “Justice League” preview gives a more detailed glimpse at each of the individual members of the iconic DC super-hero squad, as well as the dark forces they have to fight in order to save the planet as well. And most surprisingly, Superman does not appear at all (at least, not yet) in the new trailer. Although we’re sure he will most likely pop-up at some point in the film.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s (Henry Cavill) selfless act, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash — it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
