Rick Ross & MMG Talk Release Dates & Signing Omarion During Press Conference

MMG-2012

– GoodFellaz TV Staff

It looks like the summer belongs to MMG. Recently Rick Ross & his Maybach Music Group members, along with other big dogs including Swizz Beatz, Lyor Cohen & Diddy, held a press conference in NYC where they talked about their upcoming projects, as well as announcing the signing of Omarion to MMG Records. Now going by the name Maybach O (WTF?!?), Omarion was the latest addition to an impressive MMG roster that includes Ricky Rozay, Wale & Meek Mill; an imprint that is distibuted by Warner Music Group.

During the press conference each member of MMG spoke on their upcoming New group album “Self Made 2”, due to hit stores June 26th, as well as their individual projects. Among the highlights of the press conference, the Boss Rick Ross announced that his highly anticipated album “God Forgives, I Don’t” would be released July 31st on Def Jam Records. Meek Mill revealed that he was putting the finishing touches on the sequel to his mega-popular “Dream Chasers” mixtape, and that his debut album “Dreams & Nightmares” would be droppin’ Aug 28rd. Other upcoming MMG releases include French Montana’s “Excuse My French” due to hits stores July 17th & Wale, whose untitled project looks to drop early next year.

Rick Ross had this to say about the conference afterwards:

“I think it was a great day for hip-hop. It was a great energy for hip-hop. When you reflect on hip-hop on a boss level, for the last 10 years, the business of hip-hop has been kinda shaky, it’s been in a decline. I was talking to Lyor [Cohen] this morning and we were talking about how it’s already bottomed out — there’s nowhere to go but up from here. I think this was a new energy that the hip-hop game needed, a momentum change.”

It looks like it is going to be a busy summer for Maybach Music, be on the lookout for these project, and check out Meek Mill’s classic interview and Rick Ross performing in NJ, only on GoodFellaz TV.
