My thoughts on “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” (Spoiler free)

Any good trilogy has to have a starting point, something to establish the universe and raise expectations for the next story. A setup jab to the knockout punch. I feel like this basic understanding of the format will allow you to go into this movie with realistic expectations.

“Batman v Superman” is definitely the ‘Dawn’ of Justice, the first light of what’s to come and it does a good job in establishing the DC Comics Cinematic Universe and its characters, in my opinion.

The Good:

This movie is all about themes and symbolism. The soundtrack is well done and sets an epic tone to this film, it helps to separate the characters and their motivations quite well and guides the mood of the film.

Cavil plays the conflicted hero juggling the desire to live a normal life and at the same time being this god-like hero who wants to help, but can’t understand the conflicting emotions his presence inspires in people. He does the right thing but people suffer and are angry. The duality of humanity is difficult for him.

Affleck is a savage, lol…. He owns this role as the weathered hero who’s come to a place of anger and bitterness in life and sees the other side of what Superman represents. Batman feels helpless compared to Superman and responds with focused desire to protect the world from what he could become. Affleck’s Batman is very much the vigilante who does what is needed to get the job done. He’s definitely more of a Punisher-type personality.

Gadot does what she’s supposed to. Be a spark, a flash, a cheering point to raise the adrenaline for the next film. She’ll do well as Wonder Woman.

Eisenberg was a good choice for Luther, but I feel his story and deep motivations get a little lost in the movie. But his Luther is definitely a brilliant maniac

The graphics are awe inspiring and the action scenes fall right into Snyders’ expertise. You won’t be disappointed there. The fight between Batman and Superman is

The Bad:

Some of the scenes are long winded, meaning the point of the scenes could be achieved just as well if the scene was 5-10 seconds shorter.

Some scenes felt forced or out of place with what was going on in the overall story. Even though they’re necessary to setup the future.

I would have loved one more fighting scene, but I’m being greedy, lol

The Ugly:

Ehhhhh, Doomsday was decent. Just felt he was a little typical

And the Verdict is…… ??? 

This a really good movie. I’m VERY interested in the directors cut now. There are some surprises in there that i’m not going to spoil for anyone. Batman hands-down steals the movie and fan-boys are gonna have a heart attack over that fight, lol

The Score:

The ‘Dawn of Justice’ is getting closer.

Check out the latest trailer for the highly anticipated film featuring 3 of pop-cultures most iconic superheroes: Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The new trailer went ‘0-to-100’ real quick in terms of spoilers, revealing major plot points including how Clark Kent, Bruce Wayne & Lex Luthor first meet, the moment when Wonder Woman makes her first appearance, and even the introduction of the film’s major bad guy (Doomsday).

The latest sneak-peek was debuted on “The Jimmy Kimmel Show” just a few days after another previous “Batman v. Superman” trailer, featuring a captured Batman and an angry Superman apparently unmasking the caped-crusader, was released during an episode of the “Gotham” television series

The “Dawn of Justice” is almost here!

Check out the newest trailer for the highly anticipated “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” on GoodFellaz TV. The latest preview of the upcoming film was shown during the Warner Brothers movie panel at the world-famous San Diego Comic-Con, and features Ben Affleck’s Batman more prominently, along with appearances by Wonder Woman & Lex Luthor, and even gives us a brief glimpse of their ‘fight scene’.

Ladies and gentleman, the “Batman v. Superman” trailer is here at last!

After months of speculation and debate, the highly anticipated first official trailer for the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” has finally been released, just a few days after a leaked video-phone version hit the ‘net.

Directed by Zack Snyder (“300”, “Watchmen”) and  starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill reprising his role of Superman from “Man of Steel” and Jesse Eisenberg as villain Lex Luthor, “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is scheduled to hit theaters worldwide March 25, 2016.

Whoa!! First Image of Gal Gadot at “Wonder Woman” from the upcoming ‘Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice’ movie…..even though she could have done at least 5 squats and ate a happy meal, she does look pretty dope.

The #GFTV word-on-the-street is that, according to the plot of the new film, Wonder Woman’s character has been in operation for a minute before the events of ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ take place;  her crime-fighting activities have been secretive similar to Batman’s.
