Truuuuuuu!! After much speculation, rapper 2 Chainz has announced the name of his upcoming sophomore album: “Based On A Tru Story 2: Me Time”.
In a recent interview with MTV, he had this to say regarding the New LP.
“I feel like my music actually gives people a sense of going away sometimes — without really going on vacation. Every time somebody wants to have some ‘me time,’ this is the type of project [to listen to].”
On working with Pharrell:
“For me it was about of course staying comfortable but trying new stuff, and that’s what I did rocking with Pharrell. It just felt like it was something different, it felt like it was something that needed to happen.”
The New Album features the lead-single “Feds Watching” featuring Pharrell. “Based On a Tru Story 2: Me Time” is scheduled to drop September 10 on Def Jam Records. Check out classic footage of 2 Chainz in the studio with GoodFellaz TV below.
