The GoodFellaz TV “Word-On-The-Street” is that celebrated Compton-MC Kendrick Lamar is on pace to move over 200,000 copies of his debut album “Good Kid, Maad City” during it’s first week; very respectable numbers in the current state of hip-hop album sales.
Dr. Dre’s latest protege has created quite a buzz in hip-hop over his eagerly anticipated project, which was released Oct. 23 on Interscope Records, both among fans and artists alike. Drake had this to say about Kendrick’s album, via Twitter:
“Congratulations to Kendrick. Incredible body of work. Honored to be a part of it.”
